Chrysochroa buqueti, the red speckled jewel beetle, is a Southeast Asian species of beetle. The beetle can reach a length of about 40–47 mm. Their wing cases (elytra) are orange-yellow, with bluish-black markings, while their thorax is metallic red or metallic blue with metallic red areas on the sides. The legs are bright bluish-black.
This beautiful beetle is particularly decorative and a real eye-catcher due to its beautiful colour.
The insects are prepared with great care in our atelier in Leuven (Belgium).
